Black Friday

What is Black Friday?

Black Friday has become one of the biggest shopping days of the year. Black Friday originated in the USA, where stores open early once a year the day after the Thanksgiving public holiday. This is roughly equivalent to Boxing Day in the UK. The growth of Black Friday has sparked the emergence of Cyber Monday which falls on the Monday after Thanksgiving and Black Friday.

Black Friday sales are now a fixture in seasonal trading calendars in the UK and worldwide, and for customers it's the perfect time to stock up on Christmas presents! It also acts as a reminder for everyone to start Christmas shopping with just over a month to go until the big day.
